I basically miss Kyle. Every once in a while, I'd stop to remember that my excited countdown to Ghana was one less day with him... I miss his car being parked crooked in the driveway. I miss his hugs and his dancing around the house. I miss staying up until 3am talking in the basement when I was so tired. I miss Kyle. Here's countdown to when I see him again: 84 days (December 13th, happy birthday to me!!)

What a week!

Got a new boyfriend
Went to the hospital at 1:30 on Saturday night (Sunday morning I guess) for some cRaZy stomach cramps only to be told I was basically fine. (of course, we didnt get results until 4 am)
While on a pleasant walk with Dave, I got hit by a bicyclist going about 30 mph in the canyon. Going to the chiropractor tomorrow because I think I got a bit of whiplash... They guy flipped up and over his bike, got some awful road rash all on his stomach and arms, and his helmet was in 4 pieces. After being mad at me for a minute or so, he rode off, so I guess he was okay. I haven't thought about it much since Dave and I started dating, but I leave NEXT THURSDAY for Ghana!!!

for some reason, I feel like I should always have a picture to go with my updates, but I cant find my camera and I dont really have any pictures so oh well. This is basically just going to be a spout of randomness.
Ghana: I'm nearing the end of my payments and I know that the ONLY way I was able to afford this was through tithing. I've never struggled much with paying tithing, but lately it has been more of an actual sacrifice which I gladly made. I am getting so excited to go. One more month. As many of you know, Signs of Hope (the organization) has asked me to be their mission-coordinator while I'm down there. Basically, I'll pay the cook, be in charge of all the girls, and I will have the emergency cell phone. It's really not a big deal, but it is going to be a bit scary to be the one in charge when I've never been there before. blind leading the blind, anyone? The plan is for me to leave a few days earlier than the other girls and go down with a girl named Ashleigh. We'll go an make arrangements so that when the rest of the group gets in Ghana, things will be organized and ready to go. She will also be there for our first 2 weeks, but after that its just me in charge. I hope to learn alot from her before she leaves. They want us to write home at least once a week, but I'm thinkin it would be a good idea to just keep a blog that everyone could go click on if they wanted to see how I was doin. we will be able to email, however, if you want to tell me how YOU'RE doin. :)
Food is a big pain right now. I'm having to buy food to take with me because the founder realized that even though we have a cook make us dinner every night, volunteers basically survive off of the food they bring. Because we dont have refrigeration, I'll be eating alot of tuna, dried fruit, granola bars, and peanut butter. (They do have bread) One thing I'm going to miss greatly is DAIRY! I love LOVE cheese. and milk and yogurt. but mostly cheese. We do have 2 hot-pot cookers, so I can make ramen and heat up water and stuff, but we dont have a kitchen or anywhere we can really cook.
Next topic: doctors. I am giving doctor #4 a chance to see if HE can figure out whats wrong with me. If you don't know, I've been my own weird version of "sick" for about 3 years now. I'm constantly nauseous, dizzy, I barf on dates, and I'm losing weight. It's really been a crazy roller coaster ride. So this last week, I went to this new doctor and he said that I should be feeling better before Ghana! I'm still waiting for the lab results. I've been sick for so long I cant remember what its like to be full after a meal. I just deal with it. So, I hope he can come up with some answers!
Dating: All I have to say is "meh." I have a few crushes and whatnot, but it's kind of useless because I'm leaving for 2 months. I think thats scaring the boys away. (or...I blame that anyway)
thats basically me as of late. you're all caught up.

33:55

wow. I never knew how addicting running races could be! Dont listen to Kyles blog that says 35. My time was 33 minutes and 55 seconds. Thats technically a 10.4 minute mile. I am very proud of myself and as much as I HATE to say this, Thanks Kyle, for forcing me to sign up and train. Even if I almost passed out after we sprinted like leopards to the finish line.
